    is there anyplaces around capefear for a person to catch skipjack for bait new to the area sorry loved useing them in tn and there fun to catch also thanks everyone

    Skipjacks are not found in NC. We have Blueback Herring and Roe Shad in some waters.

    the two or three main baits you need to try are eels, shad and blue gill/bream. the eels are in my best idea the one to catch the most. you have to try and see bu these are the best baits. hope this helps

    the closest thing we have to them here are Hickory Shad. Catch em in the spring and freeze em for use throughout the year.......
