Skipjack

    anyone know how to catch skipjack without using a castnet?

    We use Sabiki rigs around here. You can get them at Bass Pro, and i've seen some local bait shops with them, I am sure somewhere on the internet sells them. I have also done good floating minnows below a bobber.

    Prebought Sabiki Rigs if you can find them. If you cant, go buy some standard white crappy jigs and tie 4 of them on a leader about six inches apart. Place a 1/2 ounce weight at the end of the line. Cast out and reel fast. If your in clearwater, jerk the rig vigorously to trigger a strike. Of course, these methods only work if the skippys are running.
