    can anyone tell what i need to do to catch these on the mississippi or missouri rivers what kind of bait or jigs to use please all info would be greatly appriciated:cool2:

    I don't know about where you are at, but up in my parts ( Northwest MO) MO river. Skipjack are very few and far between.

    A Sabiki Rig and a major current break.

    At L&D 24 I use a 1 oz. spoon with 2 crappie jigs tied a foot apart above it. check drain pipes blow holes or at the end of deverter dikes,hope this helps:smile2:

    Bass Pro and Cabela's have them, as do many tackle stores on the internet.

    I bought some skipjack at Everhart's in Clinton yesterady for $1.50 a piece. I used them on Truman and caught about 10 blue cats from 2-5 lbs. It was my first time using them and will use them again. Kyle:cool2:

    I get skipps and mooneye around the bridge supports on the Mo and the Gasconade on bobber and minnow rigs, 2 inch casting spoons, spinners like mepps algas in firetiger and assorted jigs.
