Skipjack under old hickory dam

    Most of you may know this all ready. but i went to try some skip jack fishing to get ready for a fishing trip later. and i was have really good luck from the shore right under the old hickory dam next to the lock. I was using a small jig head with a plastic grub (white was the only color working), and was getting one on every other cast.

    Welcome to the BOC. Below Old Hickory Dam can be some really good fishing for skipjacks as well as other species of fish. I fished there all the time about 20 years ago. We would catch stripers and some whites. Even an occasional Sauger and a few Walleyes too. Moved away several years ago to Western Kentucky....still fishing the old Cumberland river system though.:big_smile:
