Can you catch big Skip Jacks easily or do
you have to work for them?

it might take you a few minutes to find them... a friend of mine went yesterday and had trouble below wheeler... only caught five or six...might be the cold front....
big ones are all there are except for up a guntersville dam....a small foley spoon on a Carolina rig seems to work the best.....

Cathooker and I caught 105 giant magnum skipjack below Wheeler on Thursday afternoon. We caught them in about 3 hours carolina rigging Foley spoons. Like fishing in a goldfish bowl but more fun.

so what your saying is yall buy bait in order to catch bait??? HAHA my woman says that to me everytime i bring home crawlers or grub worms to catch gills:smile2::smile2:

lwarren, check your regulations, but in indiana i prefer to use a cast net.. much much faster
