:confused2:Does anyone have any idea where the skips are? I was at Winfield locks Friday with a sabiki rig but did not catch a thing. Had a fellow catch a few Shad for me with a cast net but that took about 10 to 15 throws for about 8 or 10 Shad. Went to the Buffalo launch yesterday afternoon to use the Shad but had a huge thunderstorm hit before we could launch. The rain seems to follow me and this boat. Maybe I can use them this week.

The skipjack are not up in the locks yet. It is usually middle August for winfield but the mooneyes were in the Sunday. Friday morning I netted probally 50 shad and could have got more. Its hit or miss. But now Sunday the shad were not there do to the water got turned up. So it will probally be a few days before the shad are in there again.

Yea that constant change in water level sure changes the fish mood.
