I bought some Bass pro clamp on rod holders for about 3.50 a piece and couldn't get them to clamp down to hold a pole much less a fish pulling down. I can't see how they would clamp on any boat.
I modified them, bent them and even cut a tennis ball in half and could not get the down and back pressure hold I need to hold the pole. Is there a clamp on rod holder that will work on a sit in yak rail? I really dont want holes in the boat if I can avoid.

i did the whole gambit, it don't pay to buy the cheap rod holders, if you want cheap rod holders go to the BOC library they have some good designs there, i invested in to driftmasters there a little pricey but will last a long time.
