I use pencil sinkers on a short leader. My hook on another long leader with a bobber about 6 inches from the hook.
Some use slinky sinkers. I believe there is a tutorial in the library on how to make them.

We make our own slinky sinkers for that. Shoestring, buckshot, swivel, and a torch. Do a search for slinky sinkers or drift sinkers and you'll find several threads. I like mine so much I use them all the time now.

Pencil sinkers will probably work well too, but I think they are kind of expensive.
