I decided to use some lead that I had left over from years past that I utilized for duck decoys. I knew one day the lead would come in handy - glad I kept it.

I chose the following weight sizes:

    1. 6 oz No Roll (Qty 3)
    2. 6 oz No Roll Bank (Qty 7)
    3. 8 oz No Roll (Qty 5)
    4. 8 oz No Roll Bank (Qty 17)
    5. 16 oz Bank (Qty 13)

I am curious to know if this range of sinkers will cover me for the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers? Do you think I'll need a 20 oz, or 10 oz?

16 oz sinkers, man what size line do you use. I would think that is plenty of weight but in fast current who knows. Then again if an 80 lb cat gets the bait it's a tinker toy to him.

Ok. Met a couple BOC brothers I havent met before. I only caught a couple 3 lbers. , but Shelby got two 18 lb. channels and a 13lb. channel. Other than that it was good. Got the Kansas Gathering next weekend. You should come check it out. Check the thread in the Gathering section.

That is a good size range, but not very many..I go thru 10 times that many in a year.
