Whats the best rivers in alabama
My votes the tennessee.
I like the Chatahooche (spelling???), because its the only one I've fished in Alabama.
Since Alabama Power and the Tva have us blocked off virtually everywhere, you kinda of have to take it in sections. The riverine section of Wheeler is tops. Followed closely by the same for Guntersville up to Nickajack. Throw in the aesthetical beauty vote for the rural Tallapoosa, Tenn Tombigbee, and Black Warrior. For Flatheads in size and number, the Coosa from downtown Gadsden to the Powerhouse Dam on Weiss. Adventure quotient: Cliff/Kayak fishing for fiddlers (small eaters) in the old gold mining district on Talladega Creek white waters. The Hootch and Alabama rivers rank in there somewhere. Looking back, I'm not sure if there is a significant body of water that I haven't whisker-fished in this state. How bout next we do ponds.:smile2:
