Well, I finally got tired of my rods being piled up in the corner of the garage, so I went down to the shop to see what I could whip up to help organize that mess. Using my miter saw, drill press, cordless drill & some scrap wood, this is what I devised. Using a 1 3/8" forstner bit in the drill press, I bored holes through one board and 1/2-way through another. This way, the rods could stay straight in the holder. No fancy joinery: butt joints to attach the tops to the sides, and a couple of stretchers to keep the assembly from wracking, all held together with twelve 6 X 1 1/2" screws. Won't win any design awards, but it's getting the job done
