I was going through some pictures I took yesterday and got to thinking about how all the "grown ups" in the family were running around spending time and $$ try'n to come up with what to do over the holiday weekend.
Sometimes we just make things too complicated, with all the time and money spent try'n to have the perfect vacation or weekend. Leave it to a 2 year old to remind us all it takes is a $3 blow-up pool, a water hose and an orange popsickle to have a ball. It takes a grandkid show us how, guess that's why they call'em grand.

Kinda reminds me of the good ole days when me and my cousins would all go off and do somethin' stupid, when we were little. Of course, we all got our whuppin's every time, but I miss the good times. And that's a good lookin' grandson you got there!

Those are adorable pictures! And you're right.. we get too caught up in the whole "money" thing...gotta spend so much to have a good time, & then you look at that picture. That little guy will remember those days forever! I still remember playing in my backyard blow-up pool with my buddies. Thanks for posting those pictures

Great pics, and yes you are 100% right sometimes it does take a small child to remind us older folk of what is really important.

Ya, (at times) us adults (?) think by throwing money at something we can make it something (like fun). Kids just get involved in doing (fun). Fun is in the heart no in the dollar. Everyone have a Great 4th. We will. Going to take about 40 kids fishin for three hours and then a cookout out. Cost will be less than 50 cents a kid for everything.
