Found some plans for a freestanding rod rack, built it, didn't really think about it. Went to putting rods in it and discovered that it ain't big enough. So back to the drawing board, expanded it a little, made some modifications to allow for the short handle rods on one side and longer ones on the other. It will hold 22 total.

JD, if I updated all rods and reels, then shipped all this old stuff to ya, well, I wouldn't have to ship 'em, I could deliver, 'cause I'd have to have everything else packed. I'd be in TROUBLE. :smile2:Got a spare room?

My hubby has more than a few pretty large catfishing & snaggin rods. Our shed where he keeps his rods has to low of a ceiling for a free standing rod rack cause most of the poles won't break down.If you run across any plans for a rack that could be mounted on the wall so the rods hang horizontally.Or if you have any ideas I would appreciate your input thanks.:smile2:

Lonnie, that is one nice rod rack. You have some serious fishing tackle there. Thanks for sharing with us.
