Hi everyone! I am new to this site, but I am really enjoying it so far. Anyways I fish the muskingum river for shovels and channels mainly, and I would like to start fishing some lakes for shovels. I live close to dillon and would love to fish it for shovels, and some other local lakes. I am just not really sure where the best places to go are? Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Abe, welcome aboard. You should have named this thread(Who hasn't fished Dillon) ! lmao. From all reports there are some in there, but very hard to find. Channels are plentiful.

I also live close to dillon and have fished it a bunch. The best place to look for a flathead there would be the muskingum river. lol. I have never caught or saw a flathead come from there. I have heard stories of them being caught there but I have also heard stories about VW sized ones in the river.lol. I am sure that there has to be some there since they do catch them in the licking river above the lake. Good luck to ya if ya do try for them at dillon. If you should happen to get one please take a pic so I know there was atleast one in there. Also welcome to the BOC.

Welcome to the B.O.C Abe. Salt Fork and Seneca are not too far from you either. Both great shovelhead lakes. And like they said, the Muskingum river, cant go wrong there eh?
