Well it was another fairly good night of fishing on the White river. Actually I would call it a slow night but a good night for the low water we've had. My buddies wife caught her personal best flattie. My neighbor caught a 18.5 in. sauger. We got 10 crappie and 7 channels 2 to 6 lbs. Smallies are slow this year but they caught 4 or 5. I made her release the flattie - but she was glad she did. I told her the neighbor caught an 8 lb flat earlier this week 2 miles upstream with a hole in it's bottom lip from our stringer. We release them above the dam so we can catch them again. We also release any channels over 5 lbs or when the freezers got more than 4 - 1 gallon bags of fillets. I only fished for a 1/2 hour and got 3 channel. The pic of Shonda has my river houses in the background. I was busy re-siding the one all day. I am getting ready to jack it up 7 feet and build a bid deck/screen porch and carport underneath. It's flooded 2 time in the last 4 years. Then I can start on the other house. Anyone want to trade a days worth of helping me on the house for a guided fishing trip?
