Have you ever went fishing and catch one that you thought wasn't there or way bigger then you thought? I was fishing in a lake form the bank with my 12' St. Croix with a 6500 c4. My clicker was going so I set the hook, pole doubled over. As I was reeling in my pole straightened up, I reeled like crazy to see if I lost it or it was running at the bank . About twenty feet out where there was a steep ledge my pole suddenly doubled over again and I almost went into the lake. Turns out it was comin at me about as fast as I was reeling, turned out to be a 42 lb blue and I thought I had lost it.

I moved 6 months ago and can't find my pictures, when I do I'll post them. I have the memories in my head but would like to share them.

Blues are by far the most nerve racking fight I have ever had. The way they roll and try to shake that hook, it feels like you loose them 10 times before they are in the boat..:eek:oooh::smile2::smile2:
