How is the shimano sedona 1500. I personally love it for smaller fish like panfish and trout! Any other comments would be nice...

You just can't go wrong with Shimano reels!

That reel on a cheap lite fly rod will let bullheads, panfish and trout fight like much bigger fish.If you get a chance, try it.Best of luck,peewee-williams

I've got a Sedona 750 I've used for almost a year on bream. Its on a 7.6 Microlite rod from Bass Pro...about the same size as a 5wt fly rod. Great rod and reel combo and its caught a few channels up to about 3 lbs. The Sedona line are good reels. Am considering getting either a 2500 or 4000 series.

I have the Shimano Symetre 1000 and it is awesome for panfish and shad.
