Shimano catala

    what can u fellas tell me about the catala 400 any help would be great it feels like a big winner thanks fellas

    Sounds like its a winch with the 5.2:1 gear ratio,its fairly light at 11.9oz,and it should be pretty smooth with 3+1 bearings.

    I have one and I like it a lot. I would compare it to a Abu 6500 series but I believe it holds just a little more line, very smooth casting and I've never had anything bad to say about shimano. I bought mine several years ago on clearance for 45.00 I wish I would have bought more.

    they are great reels ive had a couple of them. i cant remeber if they had a clicker or not. but i do know that they were replaced by the shimanocorvalus line. which does have a clicker. and in my opion they are almost well if not they are darn close to being as tough as the abu's. but you will enjoy the reel good fishing.
