Anyone have any info on these reels, i just bought 7 of them from a auction, some are 4500 and some are 6500, they have baitclickers on them and they are the openface models......got them for $50 each, they came with 6'6" uglycat rods med/hev.......did i get a good deal, or bout normal price for them? i know the rods cost bout 30 bucks each, and 3 of the rods are brand new, and 2 of the reels appear to be unused....
    Thanks.

If the reels are mechanically sound your purchase would be the same as highway robbery. ROTFLOL! Yes, you got a great deal...:smile2:

    you got a awesome deal.

The 6500 models run about $109 brand new. I have one on a 11' Ugly Stik for bank fishing.

I agree with the rest ... you got a great deal.
I wouldn't use any other reel for my carp/cat fishing. Just make sure you don't have the baitrunner clutch set too tight or the fish will drop the bait if they feel to much resistance when they pick up the bait and run with it.

Superb reels; superb deals you got there.
I have 3500's and 4500's for my cat and carpin. I'm tough on gear and these reels haven't let me down yet.

basscat the difference is that "B" models are redesigned they have a one way bearing to give it instant anti reverse, a different handle, and a slightly larger spool. it is refered to as "a poor mans thunnus"

The B stands for big fish reel. I have 2 6500Bs paid 120 each for them. Just an awesome spinning reel. I think you stole them at 50 bucks. Gotta love the internet. lol.
