    Does anyone target Shellcrackers?

I have stumbled onto a few while catching bream, but I was kinda easy then because they were up shallow bedding. Some folks have told me that they generally stay deeper than bream, and I was wondering if there are some good ways to catch them, primarily what depth to start looking for them.

    Thanks for the input!

I fish for them a little but not a lot. They will hit a floating minnow like a Rebel or Rapala. Lake Wylie has some pretty decent ones in there and they love mussel meat. I've caught some good size ones from farm ponds mostly and yeah they seem to be deeper than bluegill.
