Went to Sharron Harris Tuesday 9/8 in the evening for a couple of hours. Caught a couple small bull heads and a small channel then I caught a 27" White Catfish. The biggest White that I have ever caught, this is my Personal Best for a White.

Is a white catfish a native species or was it released? My friend has some albino cats in his pond, wondered if this was the same fish.

    Asartin,
A white cat looks like a blue in many ways and a channel (to me) in some aspects but I have only caught them in Sharron Harris, they fight hard for their size but only grow to about 13lbs in NC... I think the NC record is just over 13lbs.
The abino cats that I have seen in the past have all been channels that are missing the pigment gene, thus an albino channel cat.

Nice, thanks for the info. The ablinos my friend has in his pond will probably go 10 to 15 lbs.
