Shark in a jar

    Anyone know how to preserve a small shark in a jar other than using formaldahide. Appreciate any info.

    I suggest you research it on the net, but my first thought would be to use alcohol.

    I have a western diamond back rattlesnake that has held up well in a gallon jar of alcohol since 1996. :smile2:

    I made a few small incisions in the belly to allow the alcohol into the body cavity and I used a hypodermic needle to inject alcohol into the organs.:0a26:

    Golden Grain 200 proof pure alcohol works but is expensive.peewee-williams

    I think vinegar might work.
    I've seen some pickled eggs and pig feet that sit on the counter for years and was still good to go. :big_smile:
