Is this line any good ? Wally world had 30# test in a 250yd spool for like $2.88. How does it compare to Big game ? Is it abrasion resistant enough to use as leader line ? Any coments at all ? -Thanks

Those cheap lines work fine. Just change them out frequently. Catfish are not picky about line, but the people who fish for them sure are. Don't get conned into thinking line makes a big diff because it doens't. Sometimes it is easy to over analyze fishing for catfish.

You might also want to be careful about using the last 1/3 of the spool, also. For reasons unknown, when I used a spool of 6#, it worked great until that point.

Omniflex works ok, but does tend to have a lot of memory compared to Big Game. Big Game 30 has a average diameter of .022, Omni is .023. Its stiffer, not as limp, as if Big Game is limp. Also, the line varies a great deal more both from spool to spool and in a particular spool. But, at tests like the one you have, it isn't a big deal. Not a good line for cold weather.
