I definitely wouldn't try to catch anything over 5 pounds on it, drag on it was crap when I had one, and I caught some Stripers on it and the drag completely locked up.

It's alright, money well spent. I have one for fishing guest that come to visit. We've never had a problem with it, very user friendly. That's my opinion if it counts.

I have 6 of them. They are great for about one year. after that you will start having trouble casting them. if you will look at the spool that wraps the line, it will have a grove cut in it from the line. I haven't found a real good way of fixing that. I just go get a new one.

Cant beat em for channels. I still like the old 33 combos the best.

I am not a fan. I had two of them. The drag just doesn't work on them. I hooked into a nicer fish on one of mine on it's 3rd trip out. The fish stripped every gear in the thing. I ended up grabbing the line and bringing the fish in by hand. It was a 11 pound blue cat. That is not an incredibly large fish. I wouldn't trust them and won't buy anymore. My local wal mart has a combo called The Contender for 30 bucks. It is a far superior setup for only 10 extra bucks. I love that set up and I landed a 37 pound blue on it last year. I would go with it and save some headaches, JMO though.

I caught a 30lb flathead on it at Lake Neark. I think if I would have tried to muscle this fish in a little I would have broke the line.

At twenty dollars for a year versus sixty for a lifetime, I would much rather recomend an abu 6000 combo. Abu's are sweet and worth the investment. Peace.:boss:
