    hey bub i have 2 of the big open face setups and they work good for me biggist i've pulled in with it was 20lbs and did it with out a problem ///o get rid of the line that comes with it

    :smile2: yeah..... people always diss shakespeare combos but they work as well as some of the fancy smanchy bass fisherman stuff who get their tackle for free


    i have a patriot combo (action medium ) with 12 pound cajun line and a 50 pound braided leader:tounge_out: wat size flatties is my maximum do u think??????

    just kidding man! caught a nice 18# blue on the girlfriend's 5'4" ultralight ugly stick with a gander mountain guide series ul reel and some 12# power pro. what a blast! if i could downsize the pic it'd be my avitar! the cat is almost as long as the rod!

    my friend jon jon has a shakespheare president on a 9 ft catmaxx rod and it holds up pretty good.
