Have any of you guys ever tried using a shad scoop (pulling behind the boat) for retrieving shad? I fish Truman pretty regular and thought that maybe this would work well. What do you think?

    Ben,
I think if you check the MDC rules it is not legal.

Look under shad trawl. I've got one, and haven't had much luck with it.

The first response above just about covers it: They're not legal for use in Missouri.

So whether they work well or not is pretty irrelevant.
