Can anyone out there tell me if Tappan Lake or Clendening have Shad or other bait fish that can be caught with a casting net? Might be heading down there soon and wanted to give my new net a try. I've caught all of the Dandelions in the back yard LOL so i think i should give the real thing a try.
Thanks in advance for any info!

You should be able to find shad at either lake I always have That or get you some wax worms and you can catch all the bluegill you want

At Clendening your best chance for getting shad would probabley be off the bridges on 799. At Tappan you can get them off the bridges as well and there are also a few bays you can get them out of. The shad are spawning now so they are right up against the rocks. If you get there in the daytime, you can probabley snag as many as you can get.
