Shad near Nelsonville Or Mansfield? Where can you catch some shad?

    Does anyone know where they are getting shad near either Nelsonville or Mansfield? Thanks for your time.

    Hocking River below any of the poop pipes.:wink: Also below Lake Logan in the spillway.

    Ok thank you. I went to logan spillway yesterday and didn't catch a thing. Of course most of my throughs were less then par. lol.

    near mansfield i would try charles mill, there is a pull off area right on 430 thats very shallow usually full on a sunny afternoon, ive tried the spillway there with a little luck but not much

    you can try burr oak also the spill way is on rt 13 or in the lake around the boat docks

    Thank you for the replies fellas. Yup I go to hocking. My major is wildlife management. I have a guy farther south that is going to get a hold of me when he starts catching skip jack and wanted to get some shad for later on in the season. But i'm not having a very good go with my first cast net. Haven't caught anything at the Lake Logan Spillway.
