im new to the boc and just wanted to say hi to everyone, but i did have a question. one of the lakes i fish at has a marina that i go to w/ my throw net, and usually i can fill a 5 gallon bucket w/ shad in 1-2 throws, pretty much anywhere along the bank. however on my vacation i went 3 times , and threw till my arm hurt and nothing but a couple and some perch. do yall think they were there because of food and ran out or maby because of water temperature/weather. it had been kinda cool and rainy before but when i wasnt catching them it was warm and dry

Welcome aboard. Its hard to say the exact reasoning. Have you tried different times of the day, I know when the water level falls it affects everything.

no i havent, i was usually there about 4:30 am. the bite would usually start just before sun up and end around 9 am if the wind stayed calm. so i was usually catchin bait between 4 and 4:30. but i may should have tried in the evening. thanks for the advice.
