Are the shad still running in the tailrace up by the dam ?

What has all the wind done to the lower lake are the cats still in 2-6ft or has all the churning from the wind the last week sent the packing for deep cover ?

Gomer, I haven't heard of anyone catching any shad lately; the spawning run is pretty much over, but there are probably a few stragglers.
The water temps have dropped quite a bit since last weeks cold snap, so it will probably delay the catfish spawn a little. They should be shallow, but I haven't had a chance to talk with anyone on the lower lake recently. If I hear anything good, I'll be sure to let you know. :smile2:

I saw about 5 american shad caught behind wateree dam fri 13th while i was down there. dont know if they were hanging around or if they were just reaching there. saw alot of 10 to 15 inch gizzard shad caught and i got a load of 5 to 6 inch threadfins while i was there.
