i been buying frozen shad guts for yrs but this past yr when i get a jar it seems there is few guts and all fat. the fat wont stay on a hook so last night i went and caught about 10 small bluegills. chopped the head and tails off cut them in fellets down the middle then i mashed the shad fat into a liquid and mixed the 2 together and its in the fridge for 24 hrs marinating. gonna try it tonight. seems like it might work since the guts have way more scent then bluegill im thinking the liquid will soak into the chunks. anybody think this will work? will find out tonight.
