    The Shad spawn @ 62 in 1 1/2 - 2 ft of water.

Do shad need moving water to spawn?

Went fishing yesterday and started seeing a few around the docks and popping up out of the water within 20 feet of the shore..won't be long I don't think.;)

Sure hope not, or else every reservoir and small lake in the country wouldn't have any shad at all...

Down here in Texas they start running around the lakes when the sun comes up in the spring on the warm mornings. I love it, I don't even have to throw a net because so many flop onto the bank, all I have to do it pick them up.
