Transfering fish from bodies of water to another is illegal in Ohio. Not sure about there.

and yes, if he doesn't have a commercial license it is illegal - might be anyway.

Well I took the first step in finding out if he could do that or not by sending an email with the link to the Wisconsin's Department of Natural Resources' Violation Hotline. I have also asked then to send me a response on if it is legal to do this or not. I will post when they respond.

It is only against the law in most states to buy or sell sport fish.

You can sell catfish in Tennessee.

I didn't see where it said they were wild caught. If they are, that's a horrible thing. On the otherhand I can buy catfish, bass, crappie, bluegill, carp, or whatever from MFA, so why not ebay?

If you look at the description of the item it says,” These fish were caught today in the Mississippi River.” Well here in Oklahoma it is legal to buy sport fish from an authorized dealer whose fish are farm raised. But, it is highly illegal to sell fish that you catch on a lake, river or pond. You can’t charge someone for your fish that you caught but you can how ever charge them the price you paid for the bait because they are paying for the bait and not the fish. Me on the other hand, if I see that some one is not catching anything, I will try to help them catch some. But if they still don’t catch any and I know they are just trying to get some to eat, I will offer them some of mine for FREE. That is, IF they will take them.

I live in Wisconsin and yes you can catch up to 25 catfish (except flathead) per day and sell them. All you need is a setline liscense or bank pole liscense to do it.
