have a sears 7.0 late 70's vintage.....motor runs great.........just changed the lower unit grease today and ran the outbord in a barrell.......will not go into neutral........the lever is on the right side of the engine under the motor,,,,,,,i think it is just maybe a linkage???.....i was turning the prop by hand after changing the grease and heard a click ....now the neutral lever doesnt work..........i know its had to say but is this a big repair or is it worth fixing....it looks like at least 4 blts will have to be taken out to get the lower unit of of the engine......looks like wher these come apart is where the problem is........thanks mack
