I picked up a SeaKing 9.6 outboard for 25 bucks from a friend of mine who bought it the night before at a auction. Didn't figure I could go to wrong on a deal like that. He didn't know anything about it except what they said at the auction....that it belonged to an older fellow who had died and were auctioning everything off.

I found that the starter rope needs replaced bad. I surfed the web and the only thing I found is that it takes special tools. Any facts to this? If not, is it a hard job and how do you go about doing it?.

    Thanks Bubba

    Oops. It's a 72 model.
