Wanted to post an update on my Sea Nymph. I have been modifying her for catfishing since I bought her in March. Its August now, and things has taken a lot longer than I had hoped but I think the results have been well worth it. I will post the before and after pics here to show what has been done. Basically the whole bow was torn out, and the open bow setup was replaced with a 25 gal baitwell, that is insulated. It is a half of a 55 gal drum boxed out and filled with spray foam insulation. Sealed with a Jim Black Smoker Hatch, and filtered and aerated. The front was then framed around the box, which was a huge chore and then cut to fit, with 3 hatches being cut for storage and bilge access on the baitwell. It was then carpeted in the best attempt i could make to match the rear since I didn't want to have to recarpet the whole boat and lose my whole summer of fishing before I go back to school. Basically I wanted to utilize all the wasted space to maximize my storage and overall use of the boat, its a '17 foot boat so anywhere i can stow things out of the way is useful. In the rear, I ripped out the back to back seats and the old useless livewell, and replaced them with two Captains Chairs and replaced the 1980s Humminbird Depthsounder with a Lowrance HDS7. Put in 4 Driftmaster Pro Duos for holders, they will soon be my drift holders on the side as within the next few days i will be putting in a rod rack and six holders for the rear. Hope you enjoy and this sparks ideas for those who are thinking of modifying their boats. I would like to thank T Bull for all his help and advice, Prostreets10 for making my rod rack, and my dad for all his help tearing this beast apart and rebuilding her. :smile2::big_smile:

Thanks mickey. Would love some monster rod holders, they are sweet, but since i am a college kid on a budget I have found some that are solid and reliable but more in my price range. Maybe one day i will upgrade to the monster holders, like to support our sponsors when I can.
