I've been walking the river bank for the last couple of weeks and found a decent hole. I was using some warmouths under a float set about 5' deep. Set the first pole and was getting the second ready and no float in site, set the hook and first flat this year. I didn't carry my scale but it measured 29" long and skinny as all get out. Released him and got both poles in this time. Float gone again and second flat this year, this one was quite a bit heavier and was almost 40". As soon as I get the pics back I'll post them. The Scioto where I was looked like no one had ever fished there, thanks Jack for all of your advice, I wouldn't have caught these without it.:big_smile:

Like you said I did have a long walk to get there. As skinny as the one was I'd say it just came off of its nest, hopefully they'll start down your way. One thing here is most of the access has been stopped so pressure is way down compared to other places. I can't thank you enough for your advice Jack.

As soon as they are developed I'll post them. It was south of 316 a ways in a nice deep washout hole.

Just to get my disappointment/curiousity out of the way: Let me guess...you were somewhere around Circleville or Chillicothe?

Basically, you were not very close at all to the Columbus area?

Nice fish Ed. Glad to see some fish being caught in my favorite river. I'd ask to come down and fish with ya sometime but you know what would happen....your spot would never produce anything but turtles from then on out! Congrats again.
