Finally caught a fish drift fishing saturday night. It was the only one I caught. 39"long and 32#'s It was in 30ft of water and I was using cut bait. Had one more smaller one on, but it got off. It's my new personal best. Thanks cathog(gary) for the tips, maybe I'm finally gettin this driftin figured out. When I do ,maybe I can hed up to tawakoni where the real catfisherman are! Picture was with my cell phone so its not too good.

Really nice fish Calvin. It wont be long and you will boating those kind on a regular basis. Drifting isn't hard to do and once you get the hang of it, it can be very fruitful. Congrats on the great blue.

I always like fish'in Conroe at night this time of year. You don't have to worry about the cigarette boats and jet skis running you over at night. Nice fish, theres plenty more in there. Conroe is loaded was nice size cats.
