I'm headed down to Santee this weekend for a couple days of fishing. Has anyone fished the upper lake lately? Everyone seems to prefer the lower lake this time of year. Does anyone know which bait stores have herring right now?

    thanks,
    Shayne

Thanks Jim, I'll start calling around before I head down but I remember reading somewhere this week that Neds had herring. It was probably on one of your posts. Any idea if the canal is passable headed into the upper lake by Harry's or going through the shallow area at the mouth to Moultrie? The last time I was down both were dangerously shallow.

Shayne both are passable or they were Saturday.
