Santee,5-17

    I made it to santee for the first time in close to two years.Fished low falls area from 8 till 2, very windy early,caught 10 with the two biggest in the high teens.The flats was very muddy,as muddy as I have ever saw it.A lot of boats out going after the bream and shellcrackers.

    Does anyone know if the spawn is over yet . And how is fishing in the month of June there?

    Nice report at least you got to be on the water. AS for the spawn I 'm not sure but i would say it was over. Time for deep water fishing.

    I agree. Time to head to the open water and stump jump as some of the guides there call it. If I was headed down in the next few weeks, I'd try to go north from channel marker 54 up into the trees and tie off both ends of the boat in 30 ft of water. Live and cut bait.
