Originally went out throwing grubs for smallies, caught two large channels on artificials which made me think, "Cats must be hungry"

Went back with worms and it was like fishing for bluegill. Well over 50 channels ranging from 6" to 18". Most of them were dinks, but we did pick up some respectable 3lb fish from a relatively small river. (pretty shallow and narrow where we were fishing)

On a side note, 80% of the fish had heavy spawn marks on them. Could it be that the northern lakes/rivers are that far behind and they're just coming off!?!?

Everybody went back in the water to get bigger!!!

A 3lb channel cat in extremely heavy current (rapid like) with a medium pole makes it fun!:cool2:

I have never done much fishing in the Sandusky but I am born and raised in Fostoria. Thats good to know that there are fish over there though as kind of a back-up plan for the nights when the Res here isn't hitting and I don't want to go all the way to Grand Rapids.
