The report is that the sturgeon bite in San Pablo Bay is real hot! A quote from the Stockton Record is "The best sturgeon fishing in 20 years". The area the artical talked about is known as the "sturgeon triangle". You can read the artical here http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060111/SPORTS05/601110322
We got rain and rain means muddy water, which sturgeon love. One word of warning though, if you are not familiar with fishing in fast current, at night, after a storm, you need to be aware that a floating tree can catch on your anchor rode and pull you and your boat to the bottom! For that reason use a bouy or some other float to hook your anchor to and a quick disconnect of some kind to your boat so you can get out of there in a hurry.
Good luck, tight lines, bent poles and screaming reels!
