Saluda River - South Carolina

    Anyone fish the Saluda? What can you catch this time of year? Any help is appreciated.

    I've fished the lakes but not river. I've heard there is some good trout fishing on the upper end of the river because they stock it every winter. I've also heard people talking about catching some good striper between Greenwood and Murray but I haven't had the chance to fish it so far.

    Which part of the Saluda are you talking about above Greenwood or below Greenwood or below Murray.I assume you are talking about below Murray, I seen O'neil williams catching stripers right below Murray dam but you need a small boat because of all the rocks.And they stock trout in there almost every year, it may be to cold for cats though.

    yep, below Murray. I was thinking of fishing from the bank. I have a boat, a cat toon, not for the river. I do not have a lot of river fishing experience, so I am curious if I can catch striper or cats this time of year in the Saluda.

    I am looking at an area between 20 and 26.
