Went to the Salt yesterday just off of West Point and the skips were off the chain. They were running hard under the train bridge by the log jam. We caught about 40 of them in about an hour. Also tore into some nice 3lb white bass. The river has gone down quite a bit and the water temp was reading 65.7 degrees. If the rain holds off a little bit hopefully some of you can get in on the action. They were hitting everything chartruese, orange, white, grey and black sassy shads, grubs, spinners you name it. They were turned on and running hard! good luck and be safe!

I grew up down in West Point an I have fished the Salt & Ohio all my life.
If you go to the mouth of the Salt an fish there is a very bad undertow, but there are some snags out there with some BIG fish... I have always had my best luck fishing for skip there with small white jigs..
I am going down there tomorrow to fill my my cooler.
Good Luck to all my Brothers this year...
