Stopped into Phillips Bait & Tackle today and Mike told me that Catfishing around here is HOT! Someone caught a 43# flat from the dam at Safe Harbor and a bunch more flats in the teens.

Just an FYI if you are planning on fishing in that area.

I will be out at Muddy Creek (York side) of the Susky below Holtwood tonite.

Tight lines!!!

Thinking about hitting that spot up real soon! Haven't been up there before, but heard a lot of talk about how good the catfishing is

I skunked the last time I was out. I skunk a LOT. For someone who spends a LOT of money in this hobby I generally don't have much to show for it.

My buddy's kid caught some blue gills for bait, but they were just too darn big. I tend to use ones that are less than 6". These things were freaking slabs! LOL

I had some action on the 'gills but nothing hooked up.

Water was high, but calm. Temps were in the mid 60's. We only fished for around 2 hours, as we go out late.
