Got word yesterday that one of our guys from Guards died at lake Texoma yesterday. They have a striper tournament every year down there for Kansas National Guardsmen. Johnny was a great guy and he will be missed.

Any loss of life is trajic, and to do so under these conditions is just a terrible shame. What was wrong with that guide to take a party out on the lake with wind advisories. He probably just was after the money first and thought nothing would happen. Probably should loose his license over this trajedy.

It's a bad deal anyway ya look at it. Even if a storm blows in while i'm on the water, i'm heading to a dock or the bank if things get too rough.

our prayer are out for the family. We were there on texoma the week before with not much luck. four days into our trip one of my buddies slipped on the bank casting his pole and tore his bicep muscle away from his elbow. It cut our trip alittle short. He had surgery earlier this week and will be in a cast for eight to ten weeks. God be with the man's family through this tragic time.

Jay, my thoughts and prayers go out to the 15 year old and his family. That lake can get really bad. Me and Sam crossed some 4 and 5 foot swales along with 3 that were 8 footers this year in a tournament when the water temps were 36 degrees and we were both glad to see the ramp. Sometimes as fisherman and because of our love of the sport we get caught out on the water when we have no buisness being out there.
