Caught this on Thursday around 3 PM with my son. At first I thought it was some kind of Carp, but I did some research on the internet and found out that it was a Sacramento Sucker. I caught two other ones on Christmas Eve and they were 26" and 23". This one was a little over 22".

That's a new fish for me . Last time I fished the Sacto ('02) I caught a fish called a Sacramento pike. It was only about 10" long and I had never heard of them. Guess there's more than just stripers in that river.

Neat fish. We used to catch a lot of different suckers back home, but that this is cool looking! I've only seen them in drawings up to this point. There are two types of suckers I'd really like to see, razorbacks and blue suckers.
