Sabine River

    If you like the nasty tasting things, the White Bass are running. I think when the W.B. are in the river they run the catfish out or do not let them have a chance to eat the bait. I have a hard time catching catfish when they are in the river.

    the only good thing ive found about sand bass is that when they get thick in the river its only30 days or so till the blues start moving to spawning grounds. Boy i cant wait. got some good spots picked out from last year.

    Im new here but was wondering where some good bank spots are for fishing the sabine. The farther north the better. I only do catch and release so i wont be keeping any, but i like to fish for fun.

    jstall i only rod and reel fish so i cant help on the throw line thing. the best bait ive used is live minnows where there is a break in the current., sharp bends with deep water, and rip-rap. if i can help let me know
