A BIG "thanks" to those of you who recommended the sabiki rig to me to catch skip-jack. I have not researched the english translation of the Japanese word "sabiki" but suspect it is along the lines of "way to hook, maim, tangle and otherwise torment the american fisherman in relatation for the atomic bomb in WWII."

I did not think the laws of physics, nature, or any just and loving God, could provide for what happned to me Saturday--two hooks in me, one in a screaming 4 year old, one in a large carp and one in a small skipjack. And ALL AT THE SAME TIME! The are effective--just no one told me how well they catch you and those around you TOO!

My four year old calls it the "monster rig" and runs if I even get one out.

I'm glad you like it, they are my favorite way to catch Skips also!!!
I try to keep an extra one or two on me just in case since I use a lighter(8#) line for them.
