Pull the spark plug out and hook it up to the plug wire and ground the base if you dont have spark go buy a new one its cheaper then buying the new module for it. if it has spark then make sure the plug is clean and gapped right and replace the fuel filter inside the tank make sure the fuel lines are good fresh fuel then it should start.

Also check the spark plug after trying to start the trimmer. Remove the plug does it look wet with fuel? If so dry the plug off with commpresed air and pull the starter rope over 10 times with the plug out. Reinstall the plug, and try to start it. Many times a 2 stroke wont start if it floods and fowls the spark plug. The carb. has a inlet needle with a small type of rocker that is actuated by a diaphram. If this rocker is out of adjustment it will let to much fuel in and fowl the plug. Also ckeck the diaphrams in the carb. check if carb. is loose . check if the carb. isolator block is cracked. Rebuild kits are avalible for most carbs. Next time buy a Echo brand trimmer you really do get what you pay for with power equipment.
